What is Scheriproct?

Scheriproct is an ointment that has been developed specifically to help treat hemorrhoids and the symptoms that can make everyday life uncomfortable for sufferers. OnlineClinic sell the ointment to help relieve both internal and internal symptoms including pain, swelling, itching and burning sensation. The local anesthetic numbs the area so it is easier to pass bowel movements, sit down and continue with everyday life without pain. The steroid ingredient helps to reduce swelling, itching and redness. Applied straight to the affected area it can work within minutes to bring comfort to sufferers.

Scheriproct works quickly to target the troublesome area, unlike oral medication that could take a while to get into the system. Itching around the anus can cause the condition and its symptoms to worsen. As Scheriproct helps to alleviate the itching and reduces swelling, there is less chance of the hemorrhoids worsening and sufferers are able to resume their usual activities quickly.

Because there are few side effects and the treatment is applied straight to the affected area hemorrhoid sufferers can still drive and operate machinery. This stops them from having to take a break from their usual activities.

How does Scheriproct work?

The active ingredients in Scheriproct are dibucaine hydrochloride and prednisolone. Prednisolone is a steroid treatment that helps to reduce inflammation and associated tenderness. Dibucaine is a local anesthetic that takes away the pain, itching and discomfort that piles can cause.

How is Scheriproct taken?

Whether treating internal or external hemorrhoids you should apply the ointment straight to the area that is affected twice daily. If the piles are severe application should be increased up to four times daily for the first day. Treatment will need to continue between five and seven days until the symptoms disappear. To maintain comfort it should then be used only once each day. Application differs slightly depending on whether the area for treatment is internal or external.

External hemorrhoid application - External hemorrhoids and symptoms can be treated by applying the ointment with a clean finger. You will only need an amount the size of a pea which should be spread on the outside and just inside the anus. You should not rub the ointment in or cover it with gauze or other dressing. It will soak into the area on its own.

Internal hemorrhoids application - For internal hemorrhoids you will need to use the included nozzle. The nozzle is equal to a dose so there is no need for measuring devices. Once the nozzle is inserted into the anus the tube should be squeezed gently. Once cleaned thoroughly it can be used again for further applications.

Side effects and precautions

  • If you are allergic to local anesthesia you should not use Scheriproct
  • If you currently have a viral, bacterial or fungal infection
  • Pregnant women or those planning to start a family
  • Nursing women

As with all medications there is a risk of side effects; however Scheriproct is a topical ointment reducing this risk. Side effects after prolonged use include a small possibility of thinning skin. A skin reaction is also slightly possible. There have been no signs of medical interactions making it safe for use on most people even those taking prescribed medication to treat/alleviate other conditions
